Allen Dixon
Allen has been working with wood most of his life. What started in a junior high-school wood shop turned into a lifelong craft — and eventually Dixon Custom Woodworks, his shop in Pocatello, Idaho.
He builds the way furniture used to be built: one piece at a time, with solid hardwoods, real joinery, and finishes meant to last. No factory line, no mass production — just careful work and an eye for the grain.
Whether it's a ready-made piece from the store or something you dreamed up and want brought to life, every item that leaves Allen's shop is made to be used, loved, and handed down.
How Allen works
1. Tell him your idea
Send a request with what you're picturing. No idea is too rough to start from.
2. Plan it together
Allen talks through wood, size, finish, timeline and price so there are no surprises.
3. He builds it
Your piece is made by hand in the shop and ready to be picked up or shipped.
